Day 1 :

Houyxai-PakBang

Upon arrival to Laos’s border and after customs & immigration formalities, you will be met by a Destination Asia local guide and transferred to boat pier where your journey’s begin – you will set on Mekong River cruise in your private boat for six hour’s journeys cruising down on majestic Mekong River to iconic riverside city of Pakbeng.

This is a perfect expedition to discover unseen nature and countryside in northern of Laos. You will see numerous villages dotting the banks of the river and some stunning limestone formations as the sheer cliffs rise from the water’s edge. Lao-style lunch will be served onboard with unique refreshments; canapés will be served with choice cold drinks or tasted local cold Lao beer.

Relax in comfortable bed and enjoy the lovely scenery along both sides of the Mekong cruising to today’s destination.

17:00 pm, arrival in Pakbeng, transfer to check-in your hotel and the remainder of the day and dinner is at leisure.

Day 2 :

Pakbeng to Nam Kat Yorlapa by cycling

Breakfast at the hotel 8:00 am, start an early cycling to Nam Kat Yorlapa a journey will take around eighth to ten hours passing through lush countryside and traditional villages along one the most spectacular stretches of the 116 km long mountain and river road, the road is dotted with small villages and this is a great way to get acquainted with local rural life. The dramatic limestone and green rolling hills formations make for great photographic opportunities. A picnic lunch is provided on the way. Noted: We provide back-up vehicle close at hands you can choose to sit in comfortable vehicle at any time you like Check into your lodge overlooking the incredibly scenic Mekong River. Day 3 :

Nam Kat Yorlapa

Breakfast at the hotel 8:00 am, enjoy morning cycling into the jungle – it is easy and short cycling approximately 5 km and take a canopy walk in 13 flying bridges about 1 km. Enjoy your day in Nam Kat Waterfall - take a refreshing dip in the falls before hiking in the jungle for 1.5 km to your bike and cycling back to your resort – the journeys would take approximately 4 hours. Day 4 :

Nam Kat Yorlapa to Muang La

Breakfast at the hotel 8:00 am, you will be meet and transfer for 2-hours to Muang La Resort and after check-in departure for half-day cycling to scenic Laotian countryside, traditional and picturesque local villages and areas of spectacular mountain scenery, stop along the way to visit these villages where you have an opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about rural Lao life. A great experience for those looking for a deeper insight into Lao Culture. Enjoy Lao-style picnic lunch and short relax before cycling back to the resort and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 5 :

Muang La Day

Breakfast at the hotel 8:30 am, you will be met by a local guide and set out on 4x4 WD off-road to visit an Ikhos village and a Hmong village; two of the many ethnic groups in Laos. Your route climbs to 1,000 m above sea level and offers some magnificent views of the mountain scenery. Your first stop is a completely isolated Ikhos village; this ethnic group originated from Tibet and Yunnan Province in China. Learn about the daily life of the village and how the villagers still follow customs passed down through the centuries. You take your picnic lunch enjoying the amazing surroundings. After lunch, an optional short walk (20 mins.) takes you to an abandoned Hmong village with a stunning 360° panorama. Continue on to visit a Hmong village - this ethnic group originates from the high steppes of Central Asia and Siberia. You will learn about their way of life; the importance of livestock (pigs, buffaloes, goats, dogs and fowl) and the care that they give to their animals. Return to Muang La in late afternoon, and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 6 :

Muang La to NongKhiaw

Breakfast at the hotel 8:00 am, you will be met by a local guide and transfer to pier for board on private boat on Nam Ou River - Today’s journey of about 150 km is on an extremely lovely stretch through remote local villages and varied mountain scenery, river that frames the road. This morning take a short drive about one hour to Muang Kwa and set on a traditional river cruise on Nam Ou River in comfort of your private boat. This is a perfect expedition to discover unseen nature and countryside in northern of Laos. You will see numerous villages dotting the banks of the river and some stunning limestone formations as the sheer cliffs rise from the water’s edge. Arrived to Ban Sop Jam a traditional fishing village, you are welcome by local people before taking your time watch and participate in the villagers’ techniques weaving and fishing, this is where you have an opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about rural Lao life and handicrafts. Continue for journey to Nong Khiew. After check-in your will be free or exploring on your own. Day 7 :

NongKhiaw

Breakfast at your hotel 9:00am you will be meet your local guide and enjoy half-day cycling around Nong Khiew features idyllic Lao countryside filled with people living off the land and engaging with nature. Travel low and slow and immerse yourself in scenes of river life, farming areas and local villages. Throughout the ride, enjoy the postcard-pretty scenes of rice paddies, people harvesting river weeds, distilling Lao whisky and depending on the season, fishing with nets and harvesting river shrimp, a specialty of the region. Return to Nong Khiew and the remainder of the day is at leisure or exploring on your own. This evening you are welcomed in the village with the special, traditional Laotian Baci ceremony. ‘Baci’ plays an important role even today to welcome or farewell, bring good luck and ward of bad spirits for any major event in the life of local people. Day 8 :

NongKhiaw to Luang Prabang

9:00 am, you will be met by a local guide and transferred for 3-hours back to Luang Prabang on the way you will stop to take a photo and visit the Hmong or Khamu Village. 12:00 pm, arrive Luang Prabang in late afternoon for check-in your hotel and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Continue for journey to Nong Khiew. After check-in your will be free or exploring on your own.

Day 9 :

Luang Prabang - Departure
