Itinerary
Upon arrival to Luang Prabang Railway station or Airport – (Arrival flight is not included) and after customs & immigration formalities, you will be met by a local guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Surrounded by thickly forested mountains and situated at the confluence of the Khan and Mekong Rivers, Luang Prabang has a tranquil, old-world charm rarely found in Asia today. This fascinating town was the capital of the Lane Xang (million elephants) Kingdom until the mid-sixteenth century. In colonial times it served as a provincial headquarters of the north. The legacy of the European presence here - well preserved French architecture and careful street planning – has blended delightfully with more than 30 gilded Buddhist temples to create a town rich in atmosphere and history. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in South East Asia. In 1995 UNESCO voted Luang Prabang as a World Heritage City. The balance of the day and dinner is at leisure
This morning there is the opportunity to start the day early with one of the most memorable sights of Luang Prabang – The ‚Tak Bat’. At dawn hundreds of saffron robed monks move silently through the streets to collect alms (offerings of food). Your guide will explain the background behind this ritual which is still very much a part of everyday life in Laos. Take a stroll with your local guide through the colorful, open-air fresh early Morning Market. Tasted a unique local authentic Lao Coffee at Pasaneyom Coffee Shop and return to hotel. It’s early but well worth the wakeup call
Breakfast at your hotel
you will be met by a local guide and transferred to The Rice experience where you will have opportunity to learn about the importance of certain farming methods. The rice farming experience is particularly popular, introducing visitors to the process of planting and harvesting rice in the rice paddies. The ‘Rice Experience’ is an excellent program for family to join together under the guidance of a locally trained farmer and work out in the field. Helping to train young members of the community, the project provides many great benefits for the community at large – all within an idyllic countryside setting framed by rising mountains and ancient rice terraces.

Afternoon is at leisure or continues to exploring around Luang Prabang and visit Kuang Sii Waterfalls. The distance is about 30 km and the journey should take approximately one hour passing through very scenic Laotian countryside. Visit the Butterfly Park and the “Bear Rescue Centre” where they conserve the black bears in the northern part of Laos. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the falls. These beautiful falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools.
If energy permit! Climb its 350 steps Phou Sii hill stands right in the center of this small city to enjoy commanding views for many miles in each direction.
9:00 am set out with your guide for discover some of the priceless monuments around the old city, now under UNESCO protection as a World Heritage Site. Visit Luang Prabang’s National Museum, formerly the Royal Palace. Displayed inside is a collection of personal artifacts of the former Laotian Royal Family. Visit the nearby Wat Mai – the five-tiered roof epitomizes the graceful Luang Prabang architectural style. Visit Wat Xieng Thong – often said to be Luang Prabang’s most beautiful. It is characterized by its several roofs sweeping low to the ground and the impressive "tree of life" mosaic and Wat Visoun, the oldest living temple in Luang Prabang, Wat Visoun dates back to 1513 and contains a collection of antique wooden Buddha. A traditional lunch is in a wonderful Tamarind Restaurant. Try the Lao food, incredibly delicious and healthy noodle soup, or tasty spring rolls filled with vegetables or meat.

After breakfast, The day with a drive to the idyllic Angle cave of Vang Vieng. The journey will take approximately one hours and pass throughs tunnel natural beauty, spectacular mountain scenery and river enjoy kayaking or local long trail boat on the majestic Nam Song River. You will receive a brief introduction to the basics of kayaking, you will work your way downstream towards town, taking in the towering karst formations around you from the unique perspective of a kayak experience some more of the beautiful scenery by river bank and local life Vang Vieng has on offer which are easily discovered with just a short. walk outside town or across the Nam Song River. This evening you may like to take advantage of the unique Vang Vieng sunsets whilst relaxing with a cold drink on the bank of the river.
this morning enjoy bicycle riding the outskirts of town to experience some more of the beautiful scenery and local market life Vang Vieng has on offer. Visit Bule lagoon, enjoy tea or coffee Lunch is included at local restaurant and in the afternoon drive for 1h 30 minutes to Vientiane.
